Carmen, Jean, Walt Jr & Marlene celebating Walt and Jean's 50th Wedding Aniversary October of 1983.

Marlene King Berry and Carmen King Hill.

The end result of a glorious 50 years.

Walt King showing some knee and wonder of wonders his warm smile.

A 50th anniversay photo Walt & Jean.

Walter King Sr. and his wife Clara. An impressive couple in their prime.

Walt and Jean Kings 50th Wedding anniversary picture.

Clara, Glen, Walt and Eddie out by the barn.

Clara King in front of the Log house with Walt Jr. feeding the chickens.

The Walt King Sr. Homestead house in winter.

Walt King Sr. with Eddie, Glen & Walt on board their favorite pony.

The three boys on the steps of the Log home. As the boy s grew so did the family. This homestead was located at Freeman WA where Ingle King, father of Walt King Sr. settled. Then Walt Sr. and his wife Clara pulled up stakes from Freeman, They moved to a number of places including Canada but finally relocated a half mile south of Clayton. There the boys grew and so did the family. Four girls were added. The boys grew into all around athletes but their true love was Boxing.

Walt King Jr shadow boxing very early in his Ring career

Walt Jr. and Glen all dressed fit to kill.

Following an illusrious amature boxing career, Walt stepped up to the professional ranks. He was a two fisted fighter packing a lethal punch with either hand. The man was formidable.

Then Walter was smittin, He engaged in another Ring activity, called a wedding ring. The very beautiful Jeannie Porter entered his life forever. Another rarity occured. She remained beautiful her entire life.

Walt in the ring at Cage. Possibly a main event because of the photographer.

Walt and Lee Berg repairing a tire. They find the two most expensive hobbies in life are Girls and cars.

Walt Jr. followed his Fathers footsteps in law enforcement who followed his father Ingle King's footstep's.

Walter King Jr. and Jeanne Porter King. Their wedding Picture in 1935

Mr. King was involved in law enforcement far beyond Deputy Sheriff. Which hat he was wearing here is anybodys guess. But the next picture is a surprise.

Deputy Sheriff Walt King Jr. in Uniform in front of the old Deer Park WA. City Hall.

There were stills scattered around in the Spokane and Stevens County area. One has a tendency to believe they disappeared when Prohibition ended, but not so. In fact you can hear rumors of stills even today.

The Deputy drop's by the Cozy In for a cup of joe

After all those years and all the excitement, one of the most gratifying memories. BOXING

This was already in this web page which I didn't realize. Its a dandy picture so it stays. Glen, Ed & Walt on an isolated farm in far off Idaho somewhere.

THE CDPHS WISHES TO EXTEND A SINCERE THANK YOU TO MARLENE AND CARMEN FOR ALLOWING US ACCESS TO THESE PERSONAL PHOTO ALBUMS. THIS ENABLED PETER COFFIN TIME TO SELECT AND SCAN THE PHOTOS WITH WHICH ROBERT CLOUSE WAS ABLE TO INSERT TO TELL THE KING' STORY AND SHARE WITH THE WORLD. OUR MOST GRACIOUS THANK YOU!
