This page begins with the Don and Marie Henry family, as told by their Grandson, John Henry. And we might add, a variety of other renowned families.

My paternal Grand parents, Don and Marie Henry in 1942. This photograph was taken at their place about 11/2 miles south of the Clayton school on Swenson road.

My maternal Grandparents, Doc and Hattie Harrison. The photograph was taken in the late 1930s behind their house across from the Clayton Church.

R. Gerry (Harrison) Henry, Leonord Turrell, Lois (Harrison) Turrell and C.I. Doc Harrison. Taken in the west side yard of the Harrison home. Notice the smoking stack at the brick yard.

Clayton School 8th grade graduation class of 1937. Gerry Harrison is 6th from left in 2nd row. I believe the house in the left background Pat LaPrey house.

Doc Harrison (left) and Jimmy Wesley just returned from a successful hunting trip. The building in the background looks to be the building next to the Clayton Mercantile.

Gerry (Harrison) Henry in the side yard of her parents house in 1937 or 1938. The Clayton Church is in the background.

My Grandfather C. I. (Doc) Harrison displaying the fruits of one of his favorite pastimes. Fishing for the big Mackinaws in Loon Lake. This picture was probably taken in the 1930s.

This is Pat Henry's big brother Joe Henry. Was he a soldier or a movie actor?

My Aunt and Uncle. Doris (Gibson) Henry and Pat Henry (circa 1940). Pat was the youngest son of Don and Marie Henry.

Tim Henry, Grandson of Pat and Doris, is giving dance lessons to his daughter Julie.

Big Foot Valley was laden with Kelso's and Klawunders. Francis Kelso is Top Row 3rg left. Aunt to Chuck Stewart who know much about Big Foot Valley & Clayton

Norm and Mildred Warren

As the lady in this photograph is clearly identified as Mrs. Klawunder. It may be safe to say that these two children are Mildred Klawunder and her little brother Harold. Although all in this photo are deceased their offspring are sprinkled around the immediate area. A number of photos of the Klawunder family are shown below.

Harold Klawunder never missed a Clayton day. He passed away in 2007. His funeral service was conducted by Sue Robinson who is a Minister at the Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington, and a former co-worker of our editor Wally Parker.

In 1933 Mr. George Klawunder was the owner of 80 acres located on the south east corner of Williams Valley Rd and Price Rd. This property was later owned by Norman and Mildred (Klawunder) Warren. Norm and Mildred had one son Harold and four daughters, Evelyn was the oldest. A search is underway for additional information about this photograph and the photograph on the right.

The is the Klawunder family in 1935.

He's in the Navy now: Harold Warren circa 1950. Son of Norm and Mildred (Klawunder) Warren

Bob Clouse and Evelyn (Warren) Tilson(?) reunited friends from the late 40s at the Deer Park Settlers Picnic in 2007.

Lila Elkins and the little tyke, her son Dennis Elkins,1944. We wish to acknowledge Dennis (Elkins) Nicholas for steadfastly helping us get this right.

Mildred & Norm Warren in the back row along with their oldest Son Harold. We have the identities of all the girls tucked away & will insert them as soon as I relocate them. I swear they are all Warren girls.

Circa 1941 42. Daniel Steele leaving for the World War II. Jessie Elkins, ( Dennis's father), Lila Steele Elkins, Thornton Steele.

Taffy Calicoat and Randy Long's wedding, June 24, 1977. Left to right, Jim Calicoat, Marvin Calicoat, Wilma Calicoat, Thelma Calicoat Sprenger, Taffy and Randy Long, Dee Calicoat, and Danny Calicoat.

Jessie Elkins on the left and Don Steele, 1939 or 1940.

It is believed this is the Carr Family of old. We neglected to give the proper info. as the photos were entered and now memory fails us. Will revive it sooner or later.

1939, Jessie Elkins and Lila Steele Elkins just prior to or after eloping to Idaho.

Perhaps a used Carr lot.

Thornton & Dorothy Steele, parents of Dan, Lila, Don, and Nelda.

The wedding photo of Lila Steel and Jessie Elkins in 1939. They are the parents of Dennis Elkins.
