Three towns with intertwined histories lie along a ten mile stretch of Highway 395. To the south, Deer Park, in the middle, Clayton, and to the north, Loon Lake. The Stevens County Historical Society has a long and impressive history. Their museum is among the best of any small commuity, and their historical archives are extensive. This is a place you'll not want to pass up.
The Clayton Community Fair website not only has a calendar of fairground events, it also presents pages with information about the Clayton Grange, the Deer Park Senior Center, the North Country Organic Gardeners, the Tri-County Settlers Association, as well as news about the Clayton Rodeo. This site is well worth a visit any time you want to catch up on the ongoing schedule of community events.
