Links of Value

Publications produced by the Clayton/Deer Park Historical Society are avaiable through 'The Heritage Network's' online bookstore.  The above link will open 'The Heritage Network' homepage.  The menu in the upper right corner will direct you to the 'History Store'.  A link on that page will open the Network's bookstore catalog.  Our publications are posted in that catalog.

Three towns with intertwined histories lie along a ten mile stretch of Highway 395.  To the south, Deer Park, in the middle, Clayton, and to the north, Loon Lake.  Anyone interested in the history of our region must include Loon Lake in their research.  Click the above link to enter the Loon Lake Historical Society's homepage.

The Stevens County Historical Society has a long and impressive history.  Their museum is among the best of any small commuity, and their historical archives are extensive.  This is a place you'll not want to pass up.

The Clayton Community Fair website not only has a calendar of fairground events, it also presents pages with information about the Clayton Grange, the Deer Park Senior Center, the North Country Organic Gardeners, the Tri-County Settlers Association, as well as news about the Clayton Rodeo.  This site is well worth a visit any time you want to catch up on the ongoing schedule of community events.

The Chamber's site has several pages of Deer Park history that are well worth a read.
